THURROCK Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is working with Thurrock Council and Healthwatch Thurrock to provide a an evening presentation event on health and wellbeing. The event is being held on Wednesday 27 September from 6-8pm at Civic Offices, Committee rooms 1&2, Thurrock Council, Grays.
Jeanette Hucey, Director of Transformation at NHS Thurrock CCG said: “We have an exciting programme of change in Thurrock. Our plans include ensuring that people can access the right support to help them stay well. We hope to enable people who are find it hard to attend events during the day, to have an opportunity to hear what positive changes are happening in Thurrock, as well as what’s out there locally to support them. We’ll be looking for feedback on plans and changes proposed.
Cllr James Halden, Portfolio Holder for Education and Health, said: “We are working with the CCG and Healthwatch to transform the way we deliver health and social care services in Thurrock for the benefit of residents. The council is also showing real leadership in getting on and delivering Integrated Medical Centres as part of this transformation.”
Kim James, Chief Operating Officer at Healthwatch Thurrock said: “This is a great opportunity for people to listen and find out what’s changing in Thurrock. It’s really important for people to have their views heard on health and care. It’s also a good opportunity for people who work during the day to find out more about what’s available to help them stay well.”
Presentations will also come from the new Emotional and Mental Health and Wellbeing Service for children and young people in Thurrock and from the Sustainability and Transformation Partnership. There’ll be a chance for people to feedback on plans across mid and south Essex that will affect people in Thurrock.
Refreshments and stands with useful information on health and care support and services are available.
