A man has appeared in court in connection with the death of Stanford-le-Hope man Kevin Malthouse.
Dusan Samardzija, 22, a student, of Cypress Path, Romford, has been charged with murder and three counts of GBH.
He appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Thursday September 14 and appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court today, Friday September 15.
No pleas have been entered and he has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance on Tuesday, September 19.
