SOUTH Essex College is holding a Swap don’t drop event for young people interested in changing their college course.
Students who are currently studying at the College and other further education providers in the area can pop in to the events and talk to members of staff about their future options.
Events will be held at all three campuses on the following dates:
Southend, 12-2pm – Monday 25 September and Tuesday 3 October Basildon, 12-2pm – Tuesday 26 September and Thursday 5 October Thurrock, 12-2pm – Thursday 28 September and Wednesday 4 October
Jane Belcher, Head of Student Services, said: “Are you unsure of the course you’ve chosen? Do you think you’ve made a mistake staying on at sixth-form and would prefer to study something else at college? Don’t just drop out, this is your chance to change direction.
“The event will allow individuals to make an informed decision, staff will be on hand to help and assist so students can feel confident moving on to a different course or apprenticeship.”
