SAINSBURY’S CHAFFORD HUNDRED SET TO REOPEN
SAINSBURY’S in Chafford Hundred will reopen at 9am on Friday 22 September. The store was temporarily closed a week ago when a fire, which started in a nearby building, spread to the supermarket.
Store manager, Lee Riley, said, “We’re very grateful to the fire service and to the team of people who’ve been working extremely hard to reopen the store as quickly as possible. We’re looking forward to welcoming customers again.”
The in-store bakery, which was affected by the fire, remains temporarily closed. A range of baked goods will be provided by a neighbouring store, ensuring customers can still buy freshly baked bread.
The store’s petrol filling station reopened last week.
