A THURROCK Tory councillor has objected to building “Homes for Heroes” on the green belt in Bulphan.
A planning application has been submitted to Thurrock Council for a residential development of 31 units for ex-servicemen in land adjacent to Martins Farmhouse in Church Lane, Bulphan.
But in a discussion on social media, Orsett councillor, Sue Little has raised her concerns about this development on the green belt.
Cllr Little described it as “A nice idea but wrong place….I have no opposition to housing for ex-servicemen at all but it needs to be in a central location where they have access to shops, bus routes and schools.
“There is a need for development in Bulphan but not on the green belt.
“This sight (sic) has been put forward so many times for different projects just to get planning permission for anything and to make money”.
Thurrock Council records show that there has been a number of applications to develop this land over the past few years.
YT did contact cllr Little in order to discuss the matter further but she has not yet replied.
Did she object to the houses in farm lane orsett heath?.
Do as I say not what I do!
Hypocrite.
