A last minute goal denied Aveley all three points under new manager James Webster.
It looked like the Millers had all three points after goals by Jordan Watson (13′) and Adam Bolle (21′)
But Soham Town Rangers hit back through Lee Chaffey (60′) and Craig Gillies (90′).
The result leaves 18th (sixth from bottom).
They return to action on Tuesday away at AFC Sudbury.
