THIRTY-five Thurrock Harrier athletes made the journey to Horse Heath Point to Point Course on Saturday (28th) for the first Essex League Cross Country race in which three athletes earned their Essex vest.
Demi Eves gave an emphatic performance winning the U15 girls race. The races were being used as selection trials for the pre-Christmas Southern Inter-Counties match.
Finnlay Lowe coming fifth in the U15B and Hayley Instance second in the U17G race will join Demi in the maroon vest of Essex for the Inter-Counties event.
Harry Tobin was 3rd in the U11B.
Senior races included an excellent 12th place for Alec Finch (running with a painful cut on his foot). Victoria Peacock pulled off her best ever cross country run in 31st place in the senior women’s race.
