IS it ever too early to prepare for Christmas? To get you in the mood for Christmas, come and enjoy an evening of music! What better way is there than to listen to a brass band playing Christmas songs? Grays Town Band is holding a concert at 7pm on Saturday 18th November at the Hall at the Sockets Heath Baptist Church, Premier Avenue, Grays, RM16 2SB.
You will hear some unusual Christmas songs together with some more traditional and well known ones. As it is still November, the band will not play exclusively Christmas music! The programme will include ‘Troika’, ‘Feelings’ by Morris Albert, Go Down Moses, Les Patineurs Valse, (also known as the Skaters’ Waltz), ‘That toddlin’ town’ from Chicago and Winter Wonderland.
There will be homemade cakes and tea, coffee and soft drinks available. So do come along and enjoy a relaxed and informal evening!
The concert is free and there is no need to book. However, if you do need further information, contact Claire on 0781 333 8105.
