THURROCK family run traffic management firm raises over £1000 in just ONE MONTH for construction industry charity. Nationwide Traffic Solutions’ charity campaign with a ‘traffic management’ twist received an overwhelming response in aid of Lighthouse Club.
The Grays based traffic management company pledged to donate £5 per qualifying traffic management drawing completed throughout October to charity.
Following the announcement of the campaign across press and social media, requests poured in. CAD technicians Sam Piatt and Peter Barker completed an amazing 210 qualifying drawings, raising £1050. The business, which supplies traffic management across the UK from depots in Essex and Lincolnshire, plus additional satellite depots, delivers High Speed, Street Works and pedestrian management for events.
CAD traffic management plans outline on a scaled map where traffic management equipment and processes should be located on site. Currently NTS supplies traffic management plans to customers across all industries, from construction, utility, signage and crane companies. Lighthouse Club provides financial and emotional support to construction workers and their families following injury, illness, bereavement or death. The team were delighted to raise such an amazing sum so quickly for the worthy cause, which is the company’s chosen charity for the second year in a row.
Grace Goodall, NTS Business Services Manager said: “We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our customers who have helped us raise so much in our latest campaign. What a fantastic amount to raise in such a short space of time! “Our CAD team have worked so hard to meet such a high demand for our traffic management plans and have done amazingly – along with our Planning team who raised awareness of the campaign to their contacts. “Once again a great team effort – well done to all!”
Bill Hill, Lighthouse Club CEO, said: “It’s great that NTS have raised so much money for our charity. With their support we can continue to provide help to our construction workforce via our Construction Industry Helpline. Their idea of donating money for each traffic management plan is a great one, keep up the good work!” To make a donation to Lighthouse Club visit the team’s JustGiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/nts-support-lighthouseclub
