Traffic and travel: Traffic woes across Thurrock

A13 Nov

1700 hrs

A282 Dartford Crossing /M25 (J31)- faulty traffic lights- anti-clockwise Qs on A282 now extend beyond Jcn 4 on M25 and e/bound on the A2 all the way past Sun In The Sands (j/w Shooters Hill Rd) to the Woolwich Road Flyover (!!) @HighwaysSEAST

Severe delays: M25 ACW btwn J4 and DartfordCrossing due to off network emergency roadworks on London Road, just off J31 (#Grays). Temporary traffic lights are in place to allow the the new road surface to cure. We’ve changed priority of lights to help traffic exit the motorway.

The M25 anti-clockwise approaching the Dartford Crossing between J4 (Bromley in Kent) and J31 (Grays in Essex) has severe delays of over 1 and half hours. Highways England are working with Essex Highways (Essex County Council) to resolve an issue with traffic lights at J31. Highways England have been able to change the priority of the traffic lights at J30 (Grays) for anti-clockwise traffic exiting the M25 to help ease the delays. Road users travelling to the Grays area are advised to exit at J30 instead of J31.

Road users are advised to allow plenty of extra time for their journeys and may wish to consider using an alternative route if possible.
