IT was a bad day at the office for the Rocks as they were heavily defeated by promotion chasing Hampton.
Goals by Charlie Wassmer (3′), Adam Coombes (30′ and 42″) and Brendan Kiernan (45′ and 84′) secured all three points.
East Thurrock United’s solitary goal was through Tom Richardson (76′).
Rock’s captain Sam Higgins was sent off.
The result leaves East Thurrock in tenth place, just four points off the play-offs.
East Thurrock return to action next Saturday in the FA Trophy against Aldershot Town.
