Essex Police: “We’re at the scene of a collision between a lorry and a motorbike in London Road, Purfleet, which was reported at 3 pm. A man, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.

ESSEX Police currently on scene of a serious road collision on A13 London Road near Purfleet.

It is likely to cause delays through evening rush-hour so avoid if you can.

1700 hrs

ESSEX Firefighters were called to assist at the scene of a road traffic collision on London Road in Purfleet.

On arrival, firefighters reported that a male was trapped following a collision involving an HGV and a motorcycle.

Crews freed the man by 3.23pm before leaving him in the hands of the Ambulance Service.
