Football: Aveley voted Best New Non-League Ground

Aveley FC 1

AVELEY Football Club are delighted to have been awarded the Best New Non-League ground in the 2017/18 season by Groundtastic.

A snippet from Groundstatic: “Across the large and impeccably marked out car park, a giant neon AVELEY FC sign blazes a welcome from the side of the clubhouse. Clad in blue and of impressive dimensions, the clubhouse incorporates the official entrance. This too is a minor work of art, the clubs name and crest proudly displayed above the entrance and on the glass door.

Entirely funded by the sale for housing of Aveley’s former Mill Field Ground, Parkside is a model development and valuable community asset, of which the village of Aveley can be truly proud indeed, the success of the move can be gauged by Aveley’s attendances this season, which so far have risen by 130%.

Already the recipient of numerous rave reviews, it gives us great pleasure to add our own endorsement by declaring Parkside as the winners of Groundtastic’s Best New Stadium Award for 2017/18.”

Many thanks to Groundtastic’s Vince Taylor and Paul Claydon for the award.

Millers Chief Executive Craig Johnson had this to say: “We are delighted to have been recognised by the Groundtastic team as the Best New Stadium Build for 2017/18.

After many years of planning for Parkside, we are pleased the build has turned into a great venue not only for watching football but a special facility for the community to use.

It is fantastic that this sort of recognition has put Aveley FC firmly on the Non-League football map, and a ground that many want to watch football at.”
