FOLLOWING Kevin Wheeler’s resignation as an elected member for Ockendon Ward, a by-election has been called.
The by-election is scheduled to be held on Thursday 22 March 2018.
Only voters in the Ockendon ward will be eligible to vote and the polling stations on the day will be confirmed soon.
Voting will be open from 7am until 10pm with the count taking place following close of poll.

Polling cards will be delivered to all eligible electors in Ockendon on the Electoral Register.
Polling Stations this year are:
· Belhus Village Hall, Daiglen Drive
· Benyon Court OAP complex, Peartree Close (new venue)
· Bonnygate Primary School, Arisdale Avenue
· Brandon Groves Community Hall, Brandon Groves Avenue
The candidates are:
Andrew Jefferies (The Conservative Party Candidate)
Allen Mayes (Thurrock Independents)
Les Strange (Labour Party)
