GRAYS Athletic had a very bad day at the office, losing 6-1 to promotion-chasing Dereham Town at Parkside on Saturday.
Goals by Rossi Jarvis (14′), Ryan Crisp (37′), Ashley Jarvis (48′ and 58′), Karol Wengrzik (49′) and Jamie Forshaw (72′) secured all three points for the Norfolk side.
Grays goal was scored through Kieron Bishop (15′).
The result leaves Grays Ath in 13th place on 53 points with five games to play.
They return to league action on Saturday away at Cheshunt.
