Update: YT understands that application will not be put before Thurrock Council tonight.
RESIDENTS of Little Thurrock and Thurrock Park met yesterday in preparation for Thursday’s controversial planning application due to come before the planning committee this Thursday 26th April.
A spokesperson said: “All residents remain resolutely against the application for reasons already stated and have serious concerns on building on land which is in fact marshes and a flood plain and the fact it’s all part of the greenbelt .
“In the picture residents along with children, who are the next generation of Thurrock residents, show their opposition to such a planning proposal , and will be in the public gallery on Thursday evening showing there objection to the application .

i am surprised that houses down there can get flood insurance,on the local flood risk map that area is in the most serious zone.

Lets be fair, why would anyone want to buy a house on this marsh. But they have!
