PART of a former power station across the water from Thurrock will be blown tonight (Saturday).
A boiler house and turbine hall will be demolished at the Littlebrook Power Station in Dartford.
The demolition, at 11pm, will coincide with a planned routine closed of the QE2 Bridge at the Dartford Crossing.
The controlled demolition will bring down the ‘B’ station boiler house and turbine hall as the same time the bridge is closed for maintenance, so as to not distract drivers.
The structure consists of a structural steel frame with a concrete skin.
