A DATE has been set for the next phase of a power station’s demolition.
Boiler house nine and 10 of Tilbury Power Station, will be blown up on Friday, May 11, at around 9am.
The controlled demolition will see the removal of the structure which is predominantly constructed of steel and is approximately 100 metres long, 30 metres wide and 60 metres high.
The destruction is considered to be of low impact.
The complete demolition of the site is expected in 2019.
