ST Luke’s Hospice have been selected as finalists in the HSJ (Health Service Journal) Patient Safety Awards in Palliative Care 2018.
Hospice staff members, Sharon Quinn, Laura Bone and Deb Hickey, presented their finalist application ‘’Patient Safety and Quality Framework’ to a prestigious panel of judges who work and are associated in the Health Sector earlier this week.
Sharon Quinn Director of Care and Quality at St. Luke’s explains: “At St. Luke’s we are always striving to achieve continuous improvement in patient safety and entered for the HSJ Patient Safety Awards 2018 to demonstrate our passion and commitment to patient safety and quality as well as benchmark ourselves against some of the top health organisations in the country.
“We are thrilled to have been selected as finalists under the palliative care category. This is a fantastic achievement for St. Luke’s, recognising everyone’s care, compassion and hard work to keep our patients safe’’.
The Hospice now has to wait until 9th July to find out if they have won an award when winners are announced at a presentation event in Manchester
