ST Luke’s Hospice is raising public awareness during ‘Dying Matter’s Week’ (14th to 20th May) about planning and choices at the End of Life, at a series of events across Basildon and Thurrock, highlighting the importance of talking openly with friends and family about your final wishes and how you want to be cared for.
Events taking place during the week include:
Thursday 17th May visit our ‘pop-up’ Celebration of Life Café in the Day Hospice Activity Room at Nethermayne, SS16 5NJ for
coffee, cake and conversation or tea, treats and talk about life!
The Café offers people an opportunity to engage in some thought provoking conversation in a relaxed way which will highlight the importance of talking openly with friends and family about your final wishes and how you want to be cared for. The café will be open from 12.30 to 4pm
Friday 18th – Together with our CCG Thurrock colleagues we have a stand in our Gray’s High Street shop
Friday 18th – We also have a stand outside St Martins Church in Basildon 9:30am-1pm
