Stanford teenage girl convicted of homophobic assault

A TEENAGER from Stanford-le-Hope has pleaded guilty to a homophobic hate crime and police assault.

Stephanie Topliss, aged 18, of Abbotts Drive, Stanford-le-Hope, pled guilty to the following.

On 18/06/2018 at Essex you assaulted another by beating him with homophobic intent

On 18/06/2018 at Stanford-le-Hope assaulted a constable in the execution of his duty

On 18/06/2018 at Stanford-le-Hope without lawful authority or reasonable excuse, had with you in a public place, namely Nursery Road, an offensive weapon, namely A Large Wooden Plank.

Topliss was fined £370.00 and made the subject of community and rehabilitation orders.
