Essex Chamber Breakfast Meeting to put work placements at top of agenda

JOIN the Essex Chamber of Commerce for a Breakfast Meeting at the Thurrock Campus of South Essex College to discuss Work Placements and T Levels with Director of Apprenticeships & Employment Engagement Joanne Giles.

T Levels

T levels are new technical study programmes that will sit alongside apprenticeships and A Levels within a planned reformed skills training system., and are being developed in partnership with Government, business and education.

Work Placements (Industry Placements)

Industry placements are about providing students with high quality, meaningful training, not work.

Industry placements will be for a minimum of 45 days, with students studying a related course meaning they will have relevant skills and knowledge that enable them, after a period of induction, to add value to your business. The structure will be based on your needs as well as those of the local education provider and could be a block of 8-10 weeks, 1-3 days a week, or a mix of both, for 12-24 weeks during term.
