FIRE Crews were called to reports of smoke in an industrial building on London Road in West Thurrock.
On arrival firefighters reported that there was a fire in a switch room within the building and the room was 100% smoke logged.
Firefighters worked with the Electricity Board to ensure the area was safe to enter and extinguished the fire by 2.45am.
Crews then cleared the building of smoke using positive pressure ventilation fans.
The cause of the fire has been recorded as accidental.
