THURROCK CVS launch application for the Voluntary Sector Development Fund 2018
Local voluntary sector charity, Thurrock CVS, are pleased to announce applications for the Voluntary Sector Development Fund are now open to local voluntary groups and organisations throughout the borough.
The local fund which is administered by Thurrock CVS on behalf of Thurrock Council is designed to support Thurrock based community groups and organisations in contributing to the delivery of Thurrock Council’s priorities.
Grants are available from £500 to £5,000; this must include a 20% match fund. This means groups applying for a grant of £ 5,000 will need to fund £1,000 of the £5,000 project cost.
Each grant is a wonderful opportunity for a local group or organisation to deliver a project that will help their group meet their objectives which will then make a huge difference to their clients and the wider Thurrock community.
Applications are welcome from a wide variety of groups both large and small operating within Thurrock for a variety of services, applications are for delivery of projects aligned with one or more of the following issues.
Build strong and well-connected communities. Improve children’s emotional health and wellbeing Reduce social isolation and loneliness
Put people in control of their own care
Reduce obesity
The deadline for applications has been extended to September 21st 2018.
