SOUTH Essex College students took part in a CSI experience day with CSI Pulse.
Public Services, Forensic Science and Applied Science students attended the day at the College’s Southend Campus.
The event’s aim was to raise aspirations and attainment in STEM by bringing to life the processes and applications used within crime scene investigations.
Students had to use techniques and forensic thinking skills to solve a mock murder scene.
They learnt about DNA, fingerprints, footwear analysis, hair, blood splatter and fibres, and how these can be important factors with examining any crime scene.
