ESSEX Police would like to talk to Jay Emery, 22, from South Ockendon, in connection with theft, assaulting a police officer and escaping lawful custody.

A spokesperson said: “We received reports at 6.10pm on Sunday, February 4, that a moped bike was stolen outside the Dog and Partridge pub, in High Road, North Ockendon.
Three days later we detained a man in Araglen Avenue, South Ockendon, who then punched an officer in the face and ran off.
We have made enquiries to locate Emery in relation to these incidents without success.
“He is described as being 5ft 9ins, of a slim build and he has a large scar on his wrists. Emery has links to Grays.
