Ockendon councillor presents petition as residents find themselves under siege

A CONSERVATIVE councillor from Ockendon has presented a petition to Thurrock Council on behalf of residents of a number of streets in South Ockendon that find themselves under siege from gangs of youths.

Cllr Andrew Jeffries spoke at full council and detailed the crime and anti-social behaviour that residents from Deveron Gardens and Bryun Court suffer.

  1. Thatcher would turn in her grave at this tory councillor. This is a total betrayal of Conservatism.

We need to Cut the Police budget by 60%. Giving money back to hard working taxpayers who are doing the right thing. Its youre money.

  2. Strange how a councillor gets attacked in co-op and things happen. Six months we were terrorized every night with gates being kicked in, windows smashed with my then 3-year-old wetting the bed with police knocking on the door and doing nothing until I confronted them and I was the one got arrested. Even giving them a video of the youths nothing happened. Beyond a joke.
