A STANFORD-LE-HOPE community champion is driving round the coastline of Britain in order to raise money for mental health issues.
Shane Ralph is well known in Thurrock for the community work he does, so we would ask people just to give a minute fo their time to read Shane’s story.
“My name is Shane Ralph and for 13 years, I’ve worked within Mental Health as a tutor teaching Anger Management, Confidence Building, Depression & Anxiety, and I’ve seen how these services have benefited so many.
In October 2017, I myself was diagnosed with Anxiety and I have seen how much this has changed my life and my families lives. I have decided to raise money for two Mind charities – MIND and THURROCK MIND and also for CLIC SARGENT, a teenage cancer trust that do amazing work for children, young people and their families.
On Sunday the 22nd July, I will start driving from Stanford le Hope in Essex and driving the full coastline of mainland Great Britain in an anti-clockwise direction and visiting some of the charities offices, workers and volunteers along the way, to help them to promote their services.
This event will be covered on Social Media platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter and also YouTube and you will be able to track my progress via GPS.
I will be taking on challenges that are set by the public that are following me….within reason lol.
Thank you all so much for your support.
