West Thurrock: Two robbed at knifepoint by gang of youths

ESSEX Police are appealing for information after two men were robbed in separate incidents in West Thurrock this morning, August 9.

The first victim was approached by a group of five men in an alleyway on London Road, opposite the Ship Inn, at around 5.55am. He was threatened with a blade and was forced to hand over his belongings, which included a vape, cigarettes and some change.

The second victim was approached by four men in the alleyway between Hedley Avenue and The Chase. He was robbed of his wallet and phone after being threatened with what has been described as a knife.

One of the men is described as being mixed race with a goatee. He wore a grey tracksuit. It is believed he is a teenager or a young adult, whereas the other four men are described as being black, all wore black tracksuits and are aged in their 20s.

Acting Police Sargent Gray, of Grays CID, said: “Officers are keen to hear from any witnesses to these incidents, or anyone who may have seen a group of men near these areas between 5am and 6am this morning. We are working hard to progress this investigation, but you never know who may hold a crucial piece of evidence.

“I urge anyone with knowledge of these incidents to call Grays CID on 101 and quote incident number 202 of 09/08.

“Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

  1. Its more than a jungle Rocket1.
I felt safer in New York than Grays and that says it all.

Start executing the darlings and make a public example of them so decent people can live without fear.

  2. 273 London imported undesirables under the guise of homeless.

Funny how one can connect the crime rate rise to the London influx.
