Aveley 3 v 1 Grays Ath

THE Millers delivered a masterclass in resilience and determination in coming back from one goal down to beat local rivals Grays Athletic, 3-1 at Parkside on Monday afternoon.

Goals by Firmin Ngandu (70′), Andrew Freeman (72′) and Alexander Teniola (90′) countered the opening goal by Dennis Oliver in the 53rd minute.

The result leaves Aveley in second place just a point behind leaders Maldon and Tiptree.

Aveley return to league action on Saturday away at Felixstowe and Walton United.

Grays Ath are in tenth position. They return to league action on Saturday at home against Maldon and Tiptree.
