WITH the new school term starting, it’s the perfect time to consider who you would like to nominate as part of this year’s Thurrock Education Awards.
There are 13 award categories to choose from including;
1. Outstanding early years practitioner
2. Outstanding new teacher
3. Aspiring leader
4. Innovative and creative teaching
5. Education support
6. Excellence in English
7. Excellence in science, technologies, engineering and maths (STEM)
8. Promoting career pathways and apprenticeships
9. Governing board, trust or member
10. Cross-school collaboration or community partnership
11. Teacher of the year in primary education
12. Teacher of the year in secondary education
13. School leader of the year
Nominations for this year’s awards close on Saturday 22 September, with the winners being announced at a special award ceremony on Thursday 22 November at the Civic Hall in Grays.
