Regional Award for Sean Jarvis
THURROCK Swimming Club are pleased to inform everyone that Sean Jarvis received a Silver Pin award from the East Region for his commitment to TSC and Swimming as a whole.
Sean has been a member of Thurrock Swimming Club for many years. He is currently Vice Chair and also organises our Level 3 galas and manages our website. Sean spends many hours completing tasks to ensure TSC run sefficiently and profitably. He works tirelessly to assist and support others and will always look into new initiatives. For example, he has helped set up processes with Club Organiser to support the different areas within the Club ie membership, and also implemented a programme for gala entries to reduce the hours spent on gala management.
As well as being a fundamental member of the club, Sean has run many Team Manager Courses to enhance the clubs volunteer base. However, he has also taken it upon himself to open up our TM courses to other clubs to assist their development which has been gratefully received within the Essex. TSC now have in-excess of 15 Team Managers and support staff for all social and competitive events.
Sean also helps run courses for Officials at TSC. He is in contact with key personnel to assist the Club with increasing our number of Officials. This has been so successful that TSC have enough officials to run Level 3 meets without external support.
Sean also spends time organising galas and ensuring the timing console is operational.
For the past two seasons, Sean has help organise the England County Talent Camp for 11year olds. Sean has been the Lead Team Manager and has attended specific introductory and training days to implement Swim England’s objectives for 11 year olds.
TSC would like to congratulate and say thank you to Sean for everything he has, and continues to do for the Club.
