BRAVE Felicity Thomas, 8, raised more than £1,000 for Macmillan by having her long pony tail cut off for charity.
Felicity spent a whole year carefully growing her waist-length hair so it could be cut and donated to the Little Princess Trust to be made into a wig for children who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment.

After deciding to do the fabulous deed at 2017’s Biggest Coffee Morning, Felicity has been carefully growing her hair for the past 12 months so it was long enough for the chop of Friday 28 September. She raised more than £1,000 for Macmillan too.
She said: “I woke up feeling very excited and it feels really strange feeling my hair on my neck. I wanted to do something kind and I’m happy I did it.”
There were the usual amazing raffle prizes, hampers and craft stalls at the event, which is the biggest coffee morning in the patch thanks to our hardworking BTUH Macmillan team.
The team received the Macmillan Fundraising Committee of the Year award in May 2018 for raising £61,200 over four years through a series of events held in the local community, on top of their day jobs.
