Man jailed for possessing offensive weapon outside East Tilbury pub

A MAN has been jailed after being found guilty of being in possession of an offensive weapon outside an East Tilbury pub.

James Mitchell, aged 49, of Bronte Close, Tilbury was tried at Basildon magistrates court.

He was found guilty of the following.

On 11/08/2018 at East Tilbury had with you, without good reason or lawful authority, in a public place, the car park of the George and Dragon public house, a folding pocket knife which had a blade the cutting edge of which exceeded 7.62 centimetres (3 inches).

Mitchell was jailed for six months and fined £265.00
