BRIGHTON 34 v 14 THURROCK
RUGBY sometimes can be a hard game to get your justified rewards as Brighton landed 2 late converted tries to secure victory when a moment of unsporting like behaviour went un-punished.
The score was very close with Brighton leading by 20-14 when Dylan Fearon made a fantastic break with support on the inside a Brighton player was shouting for the ball which went to him, although the referee gave a penalty it deserved a yellow card, and Thurrock’s attack came to no avail. He was at the at the centre of more controversy missing a forward pass then Dan Carey was man-handled off the ball both missed and both leading to tries.
Earlier Thurrock scored ties from Nathan Farrell and Jake Bedding both converted by Sam Stanley to lead at 14-12, but a late first half penalty see Brighton lead at the break 15-14
It was another nearly performance and soon someone will suffer the backlash when the team gets it right
It is a week off for the players this week giving them the opportunity to watch England take on the All Blacks. Thurrock return to league action on the 17th when they visit London Cornish
