AVELEY re-inforced their promotion credentials with a 3-1 victory against Witham Town.

Witham had opened the scoring through Johnny Ashman (9′) but Aveley hit back through Thomas Richardson (3′), Samuel Cross (49′) and Reggie Hubbard (90′).

The result leaves Aveley in third place just three points behind the leaders, with a game in hand.

They return to action on Monday at home against Canvey Island.
