AVELEY kept up their promotion challenge with three vital points against Canvey Island on Saturday afternoon.
Canvey Island opened the scoring through James White (6′) but a double strike from Alexander Akrofi (25′ and 87′) secured the points.
The result leaves Aveley in third place, just three points off the top.
They return to league action on Monday at home to Romford. Kick off at 7.45pm.
