Investigation following man’s death in Grays

ESSEX Police are investigating following the death of a man in Grays.

A man was taken ill from an address in Parsonage Road at around 3.30am on Thursday, April 18 and, sadly, later died in hospital.

A police spokesperson said: “We are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

“We believe the man, who is in his 30s, may have been assaulted in the days before his death and officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have started a murder investigation.

“We need to speak to anyone who has any information about a disturbance in Parsonage Road between 11pm on Friday, April 12 and 2am on Saturday, April 13.

“If you saw or heard anything, have any CCTV or dash cam footage, or have any other information please call us on 101 quoting the crime reference number 42/60785/19 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
