SWIMMERS from Thurrock Swimming Club participated in this years East Region Youth Championships held at Luton’s 50m pool complex.

Harrison Jarvis started off his weekend well with two bronze medals on the Saturday in the 100 breast and set an 8 second PB in the 400medley. Harrison also equalled his best in the 200 breast and achieved a silver in the final and 7th in the 50 breast. In the 200medley, Harriosn once again equalled his best and finished 4th overall.

James Edgings swam a very good 100 fly achieving a 1 second best time and a 5 second PB in the 200 fly just missing out on the final. James also achieved a best time in the 50 fly and was just outside of his best in the 200 free.

Mide Olajide swimming in the 15 year age group also achieved a best time in the 100 fly. In the 50 free, Mide swam an excellent race to knock 0.6secs off of his PB.

In the 50 fly, Mide achieved a best time to make the final, and finished 6th overall.
Radost Milkova just missed out on a final in the 200 back and also competed in the 200 fly. In the 50 back Radost equalled her PB just missing out in the final again and then set a 1 sec PB in the 100 fly. Radost achieved a best time in the 100 back to finish 7th in the final and also equalled her best time in the 50 fly.

Tilly Mayes competed in the 50 free and 50 fly, just swimming outside of her best.
Lillian Tagg swam an excellent race in the 50m backstroke, setting a best time.
Rebecca West swam a solid 50m backstroke finishing just outside of her best.
