Ormiston Park Academy Celebrate GCSE Exam Results
STUDENTS and staff at Ormiston Park Academy in Aveley are celebrating today after receiving their GCSE results – with increased attainment achieved in GCSE and vocational subjects.
Overall, 48% of students at Ormiston Park Academy achieved a Grade 4 or higher in both English and maths – an significant increase of 8 percentage points on last year’s figure.
As well as achieving strong results in the core subjects, students at the academy have made progress significantly above the national average in a wide range of subjects including biology; business; engineering; health and fitness and information technology (IT).
Amongst the many individual success stories include Alex Poignant, Alex Daw and Cameron Root, who between them have achieved the top Grade 9 GCSE in English Language, English Literature, Biology, French and English, and a Grade 9 in mathematics, chemistry and physics.
