GRAYS ATHLETIC FOOTBALL CLUB SCORE SQUAD GOALS WITH SPONSORS FORESTERS FRIENDLY SOCIETY
THE youth squad at Grays Athletic Football Club is ready to put its best foot forward this season after netting £2,500 sponsorship from members of the Grays, Essex branch of Foresters Friendly Society.
Over 500 sporty youngsters aged between 7 and 11 currently train at Grays Athletic Youth each week in one of the club’s 25 youth teams. The club, which has been part of the community for over 125 years and is a member of the Isthmian League North Division, will use the sponsorship for the U13’s.
The cheque will be presented by Cheryl Eagleson, Chairman of the East London & Essex Foresters Area to Simon Dent, General Secretary for Grays Athletic at 2.45pm at Aveley Football Club in Essex, just before the start of the highly anticipated men’s game against Cambridge City on Saturday 5th October 2019.
For those wanting to show their support on the day itself, keep an eye out for the players in the under-13’s team who will be donning a football shirt emblazoned with Foresters Friendly Society’s branding for the duration of the 2019/20 Season.
Janet Pooley, Secretary of the Grays Branch commented: “The Grays branch, Court Belmont Castle No.5564, has been involved with Grays Athletic Football Club for some time. We were thrilled to be able to show our continued support of the team and sincerely wish the U13’s all the best in the upcoming Season – we’ll be sure to be cheering on The Blues! From the stands this season.”
Simon Dent, General Secretary for Grays Athletic Youth, commented: “It is a real pleasure to receive this level of sponsorship for the current and upcoming Season from Foresters Friendly Society. We are looking forward to taking all our teams to the next level and hope to see many cheering faces at this weekend’s match!”
