TRENTALIA-owned train operator c2c is advising customers who use the Rainham branch of the line to plan ahead and be flexible with their travel plans over Christmas and New Year.
Due to engineering work to prepare for the introduction of TfL’s new train line to Barking Riverside, there will be no c2c service on the Rainham line in either direction on Friday 27 December and Saturday 28 December. Rail replacement buses will run between Grays and Upminster.
We also expect Upminster station car park to be busier than usual during the two-day closure and are advising customers to allow extra time to park.
On Christmas Eve we are operating a special timetable but there will be an earlier shutdown than usual. The last train to Shoeburyness is at 22.04.
There are no train services on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
On New Year’s Eve we are running to and from London Fenchurch Street with an amended timetable and are also putting on several late night services to get customers home from the NYE celebrations. On New Year’s Day, a Sunday service will be in operation.
For the amended timetables, customers are advised to check the c2c website at http://www.c2c-online.co.uk/
