THE MILLERS went clear at the top of the league after this victory against Witham Town.
Goals by George Sykes (29′) Alexander Akrofi (45′ and 65′) and Harry Gibbs (47′) secured all three points for the Millers.
Witham Town scored two late on through Marcus Bowers (85′) and Scott Kemp (90′).
The result puts Aveley top of the league, a point clear of Heybridge Swifts.
Maldon and Tiptree have four games in hand but are facing a fixture pile up.
They return to league action on Tuesday away at Basildon United.
