AVELEY face Notts County in the quarter final of the FA Trophy at lunchtime on Saturday afternoon.
This is a magnificent achievement and testament to all those connected with the club.
This was a lovely club when they were in Mill Lane and they continue to be a lovely community club at Parkside.
Their facilities are the envy of many non-league outfits and so is their philosophy.
This run wasn’t bought in a raffle but was earned by quality football by a quality side but somehow it feels it vindicates all that has been built and developed and nurtured over the years.
It seems only fitting that a club with a rich history is playing one of the founding members of the Football League.
Good luck Millers!
