Cases of coronavirus in Thurrrock rise by 27 – its highest daily rise yet

THE NUMBER of cases of coronavirus in Thurrock has increased by 27, its highest daily rise so far.

This brings the total number of recorded cases in Thurrock to 127 (as of Saturday 11th April).

Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital has been the second-worst hit hospital in the region, where the recorded number of deaths from the virus stands at 102.

The worst-hit hospital in the East of England is the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow which has so far seen 105 deaths from coronavirus.

Over the past 24 hours, 130 more people have tested positive for the virus in Essex with the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the county rising to 1,697.
