THURROCK singer/ songwriter Paul Mayo has shared his new song ‘Rainbows’, accompanied by a video featuring some fantastic rainbow pictures from families in the area.
The artist posted the following message explaining the meaning behind the song in the description of the song’s video on Youtube (see music video below).
He said: “This song is dedicated to everyone in the world who is in self isolation and especially to all healthcare and Key workers who are working around the clock to bring order and survival to each and every one of us. This is a strange time for everyone and once the world gets through this, we will recognise the unique and unusual opportunities that we have been presented with. We have been resourceful and resilient.
“We have ironically developed a sense of community, even though the version of ‘community ‘ that we are so familiar with, has been taken away from us. We are seeing record levels of kindness and respect for one another.
“The collective consciousness we are all experiencing is unlike anything in our lifetimes and despite there being obvious challenges, pain and heartbreak associated with this pandemic, we will survive it emotionally by supporting one another. Let’s carry on entertaining one another throughout this pandemic. Let’s try and continue to make one another smile. Stay home – Save Lives!”
