THE LATEST figures from Public Health England as of today (April 12th) show there are now 186 recorded cases of the coronavirus in Thurrock.
There has been an increase of 14 recorded cases in the last 24 hours in the Thurrock borough however this is down from yesterday’s rise of 27 cases.
There are 1812 cases of the coronavirus recorded in Essex (as of 9am this morning) with a jump of 115 in the previous 24 hours.
Basildon and Thurrock Hospital remains the second-worst hit hospital in the Anglia region, with a 102 deaths of patients with the coronavirus.
Southend Hospital has now suffered 79 deaths of patients of coronavirus, a rise of 28 since the previous figures.
The worst-hit hospital in the region remains the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, where 110 patients with the virus have sadly died.
The total number of recorded deaths of people with the virus in the whole of the UK stands 10,612 although please be aware this figure only taking into account ‘coronavirus-related hospital deaths’, as reports the BBC.
