217 cases of coronavirus in Thurrock – rise of four in 24 hours

THERE are 217 cases of coronavirus in the area covered Thurrock Borough Council, according to the latest figures from NHS England (Saturday 18th April).

This is a rise of four since the figures 24 hours prior.

The figures also show the number of cases of patients with coronavirus in Essex is up to 2,243 – an increase of 70 in 24 hours.

As of the latest figures on Saturday (April 18), there have been 1,781 confirmed cases in the Essex County Council region.

However, the total for Essex also contains the number of cases in Southend Borough Council – 245, and the number for Thurrock.

As reported yesterday, there sadly been 907 deaths across the whole of the county of patients dying with coronavirus.

Updated figures are expected later today.

Please be aware that the figures released only take into account coronavirus-related hospital deaths and that exact figures taking into account other parts of the community, such as care homes, are yet to be released.
