Schools in Thurrock are staying connected to their pupils during lockdown

AMIDST the difficulties of the lockdown, it is so important for schools to find ways to stay in touch and connected to their pupils.

Among the schools who have found ways to stay in touch with their pupils are Treetops School in Thurrock.

The latest video on school’s YouTube channel, children at the school are invited to play a speech and language with their parents called ‘Odd one out’.

Parents are also given tips on how they can change different variables in the game and it is clearly explained to them how different exercises will benefit their children.

Watch below:

Another example of staying in touch can be seen with Belmont Castle Academy, who have been posting P.E challenges, hosted by Miss Drake, in order to encourage the children at the school to stay in shape in a time when most of us are being told to stay indoors.

The exercises are posted on the school’s Twitter page which can be accessed at the following address https://twitter.com/BCA_Thurrock

Two P.E activities have already been uploaded.

Belmont Castle Academy have also been retweeting Maths exercises for all of their different primary year groups via White Rose Maths Twitter page to ensure children at their school are keeping up to date with their learning.
