A VOLUNTARY community group have organised a fundraiser to raise money for materials for scrubs for NHS workers in Brentwood and Thurrock.

‘Scrubs for NHS – Brentwood & Thurrock’ are a voluntary community group who all love to sew and want to help during this time of need.

On the gofundme page, fundraiser organiser Beth Milton said: “Funds raised will be used to cover material and delivery costs so we can make more scrubs and help more doctors, nurses and NHS workers.

“Any leftover funds at the end of the scrubs shortage we will donate to NHS Practitioner Health, an organisation dedicated to supporting the unique needs of health care professionals and their mental health, which we think will be of great importance in the coming months.”

The fundraiser was created on the 13 April and has so far rasied £1,581 (as of 24 April) of its £500 target.
